Our New Construction Process

Building a pool in California requires careful planning, permitting, and inspections to ensure everything meets state and local safety codes. We handle the entire process for you — from concept to completion.

Step 1: Consultation & Vision Planning

Step 2: 3D Design & Proposal

  • Custom 3D video rendering of your new pool and backyard

Step 3: 3D Design & Proposal

  • Structural engineering to meet California building codes
  • Preparation and submission of plans to the local building department
  • Handling of all required permits
  • Scheduling of city-required inspections

Step 4: Layout & Excavation

  • Precise layout of pool shape and elevations
  • Excavation of the pool and spa area
  • Pre-grade inspection (as required by local code)

Step 5: Steel, Plumbing, Equipment Set & Electrical

  • Installation of rebar steel framework per California structural standards
  • Installation of plumbing, drains, and bonding
  • Steel and underground plumbing inspection
  • Installation of pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems
  • Electrical bonding and safety systems
  • Electrical and equipment inspections

Step 6: Shotcrete Application

  • Application of structural concrete shell
  • Curing process to ensure maximum strength and durability

Step 7: Tile, Coping & Decking

  • Installation of waterline tile and coping
  • Decking installation (concrete, pavers, or other selected materials)

Step 8: Interior Finish

  • Application of plaster, pebble, or other interior finish
  • Pool filling and startup process

Step 9: Final Inspection & Startup

  • Final city inspection approval
